Jacquelyn Schreiber: Bio

Jacquelyn Schreiber has been performing since the age of 5, and has a broad range of musical experience. Although classically trained, she began performing jazz piano professionally at the age of 15 with the Tommy Morimoto Quintet, (opening for such groups as The Yellowjackets and Stanley Turrentine), and playing on Denver-based Radio Station Jazz 89.3 KUVO. Since then, she has performed as a singer/songwriter, pianist, vocalist, musical director and composer in a variety of settings.

Singer/Songwriter
Jacquelyn co-produced her demo "Time Flies," in 2006 with Richard Mendelson (Recording Engineer/Producer for Boston, the Cars, and New Kids on the Block.) Shortly after, she began performing as a singer/songwriter in NYC at such venues as The Knitting Factory, The Groove, and the 169 Bar. Her music has gained popularity and has been played regularly on the IChannel FM Internet Radio. She was voted "One of the Top IChannel artists in the World," and her band has been featured in the "Top 50 of the month."

Keyboardist/Vocalist
Jacquelyn has toured as a keyboardist and vocalist with the band Crispin, (http://www.crispinmusic.org/) since 2004. The band includes some of the top musicians on the scene, who have performed with such artists as B.B. King, James Taylor, The Neville Brothers and Kirk Franklin.

Pianist
While attending Berklee College of Music, Jacquelyn traveled to the Umbria Jazz Festival in 2005 as the arranger and pianist for Berklee's Voice Program. She also performed in some of Berklee's most prestigious shows, including the Vineyard Vibes Jazz Festival, and the Boston Pops Jazz Fest. She has been a recurring clinician at Jazz Aspen/Snowmass since 2005, working with the J.A.S. In-Schools program, and also a guest clinician at the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts.

Musical Director
Jacquelyn directed and arranged the music for "Jen Does Grimm," a one-woman show based on Grimm's fairy tales, performed in 2008 at The Duplex in NYC. Additionally, Jacquelyn has served as an Assistant Musical Director at both St. Leonard of Port-Maurice Parish in Boston and Our Lady of Lourdes in Brooklyn, New York.

Composer/Film Scoring
Recently, Jacquelyn was invited to compose two film scores in conjunction with graduate students at Chapman University, (which is recognized as "one of the top film schools" in the country.) She enjoyed composing for the films and looks forward to scoring more in the future.
